Stichting Een gift voor GIST

The main goal of Stichting Een gift voor GIST is to raise money in support of the research for this rare form of cancer. The research we will support should aim at finding groundbreaking (medical) treatments to increase the survival rate of patients suffering from GIST tumor.

Goals

The first project that the foundation intends to support is that of Prof. AJ Gelderblom of the LUMC. This research is partly funded by Novartis. The research is conducted in cooperation with four other GIST-centres in the Netherlands and the laboratory determinations take place at the LUMC.
